How many days has it been 88? 89? Almost ninety? Last Thursday, it looked as if BP had a temporary fix that might hold -- but BP said it was making no more promises -- but BP's new fix offered hope. This weekend the news began to slide down hill.
The bad news is that the BP oil well is leaking. The bad news, as bad as it is could be worse, may become worse. The oil isn't, as of this post, gushing into the Gulf of Mexico. BP says their busted well, with the new cap, is springing leaks, spilling polluting crude, and as a result of BP's well, oil is seeping from the sea floor (which could become very serious). Seepage has been found two miles away. This seepage could mean the cap on the well may have to be opened to prevent oil and gas from escaping elsewhere. BP says these are small leaks and the new cap will stay in place for now. Well, BP has recently said, in so many words, that it ain't promising America a rose garden. That BP is delivering -- no rose garden.
The polluting of the Gulf continues.
