Al Gore is not Henry David Thoreau living off in Walden Pond. He is a well connected politician who has sounded and continues to sound the warning alarm about global warming and climate change. This past Sunday in an Op-Ed piece in the New York Times, he gave a thoughtful and vigorous reply to his critics claims that global warming is a hoax and the science which supports it is a fraud.: (http://www.nytimes.com/2010/02/28/opinion/28gore.html?pagewanted=1&ref=t...).
GOP Senator Lindsey Graham, wandering away from his GOP colleagues, whose heads are stuck in the bunker of "The See Nothings", warns his party to stop demonizing and to get straight on climate change, or "his party will become more and more irrelevant if it embraces climate change deniers." Graham said, "I have been to enough college campuses to know if you are 30 or younger this climate issue is not a debate. It’s a value. These young people grew up with recycling and a sensitivity to the environment — and the world will be better off for it. They are not brainwashed."
