The news this morning is that BP robots have finally attached a new, tighter-fitting cap on top of the BP busted oil well, and the hopes are that the problem with the oil gushing into Gulf of Mexico may be under control at last. After nearly three months of poisoning and polluting the environment of the Gulf and the coasts of several U.S. states. BP is not making too many claims that this fix is a fix, because of the failures of past fixes. Tests still have to be run. See the video
Yesterday the New York Times published an article that lists and gives detailed examples of the reckless business culture inside BP. The articles explores BP's risky zeal to cut corners, to compromise on safety, in order to increase its profits. It should be read by everyone who still thinks BP is not directly responsible for the damage that it has done to the Gulf.
